Cyclone Manufacturing is a vertically integrated full service provider of 3-5 axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding and minor sub-assemblies of aerospace structural components to the largest aerospace companies. Cyclone is a privately owned company with over 750 highly skilled employees housed within six state-of-the-art facilities totaling 450,000 square feet in both Canada and Poland.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Designs aircraft and helicopter parts and propulsion systems to optimize aerodynamic performance and promote safe, efficient, and reliable operation.
- Develops computational models and simulations to understand and assess the performance of aircraft design and identify necessary improvements.
- Conducts prototype testing and utilizes wind tunnels to understand aerodynamic principles such as lift, drag, and maneuverability and evaluate the performance and safety in various conditions.
- Utilizes CAE tools to analyze structural integrity and ensure aircraft parts can withstand stresses and loads.
- Utilizes CAD tools to design and optimize structural components.
- Understands and complies with all federal regulatory requirements and specifications.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent degree.
- 4 years supervisory experience OR 4+ years’ experience leading project teams.
- 4+ years in an engineering role.
- Robust & effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software.
