As the Director, you will collaborate with the President & CEO to shape HMECU’s People and Culture initiatives. Your strategic leadership will drive effective delivery of HR programs, foster a positive workplace culture, and support organizational modernization. This position requires a strong background in talent management and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with leadership to develop strategic HR initiatives
• Oversee full employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding




• Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
• Lead collective bargaining and manage employee relations
• Utilize metrics to improve HR program effectiveness
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• 8+ years of HR leadership experience
• Demonstrated labour relations experience
• Robust knowledge of employment legislation
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships
