Our client is a well-established and growing residential developer with an active pipeline of land development projects across the Ottawa region. With a strong track record of delivering communities from concept through to completion, they are looking to add a Land Development Coordinator to support continued growth
Your current role
As Land Development Coordinator, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of land development projects from acquisition through to construction. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating development applications (OPA, Zoning, Draft Plan of Subdivision, Committee of Adjustment, Condominium)
- Managing submissions, approvals, agreements, and registrations
- Liaising with consultants, municipalities, and internal teams to maintain project timelines
- Reviewing planning, engineering, legal, and financial documents to identify risks and opportunities
- Supporting site planning, product design, and development strategy
- Coordinating engineering design, servicing, utilities, and landscaping
- Assisting Sales & Marketing and Construction teams with project launches and starts
- Supporting builder coordination through assumption, deficiencies, and completion obligations
- Contributing to land acquisition due diligence, site analysis, and feasibility
- Preparing reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation
What you'll need to succeed
- 2+ years of experience in land development, urban planning, or project coordination
- Diploma or degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of Ontario land use planning, permitting processes, and approvals
- Ability to review technical drawings and consultant reports
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project coordination tools
