The Job!
You will serve as the main point-of-contact to coordinate, and administer the career development initiatives and services for the organization's prospects, students, and designated members along with employers looking to hire qualified employees.
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Mentorcity platform, monitor participant activity, and escalate any concerns or inappropriate behavior involving mentors or mentees to management.
- Enhance the mentorship community by managing platform updates, monitoring discussion boards, promoting new initiatives, supporting marketing activities, and coordinating the rollout of new platform features.
- Promote mentorship participation and engagement by providing resources and training to mentors and mentees while monitoring program performance and preparing engagement and program reports.
- Respond to student and candidate transfer of credit inquiries
- Collaborate with the Stakeholder Relations team to develop employment channels and build relationships with employers, service providers, and organizations seeking qualified professionals
- Recommend improvements to policies, processes, and participant resources
- Coordinate and manage all virtual and in-person career development events, workshops, webinars, and educational initiatives.
- Collaborate with strategic partners, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR leaders to deliver career development programming, including resume workshops, job prospect updates, networking events, and guest speaking opportunities.
- Attend credentialing events such as video recordings and attending designation education sessions
- Promote career development resources and toolkits while serving as the primary liaison for employers seeking career development support and resources.
- Benchmark influencer professions (HR and Accounting) along with education institutions and non-profits to bring new ideas to the organization’s career development initiative
- Partner with the Public Relations team to ensure ongoing, active LinkedIn engagement about the organization’s career development initiatives
- Monitor program participation and engagement while preparing reports on program performance, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Serve as first point of contact for Certification Professional Education (CPE) inquiries
- Minimal travel within the GTA to support events, meetings, and educational initiatives
What You Bring to the Job
You are a proactive, organized, and relationship-focused professional who can balance high-volume communications, and competing deadlines.
- Post-secondary education/ college diploma (Business Administration preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in career development, program coordination, or education
- Experience planning and coordinating virtual or in-person events, webinars, and workshops
- Experience building relationships
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage a high volume of inquiries
- Comfort presenting virtually, facilitating webinars, and speaking confidently to large audiences
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience using SharePoint and other collaboration platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
