It’s better here.Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate TreasuryThe Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Treasury has the unique opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities as part of the Corporate Treasury team of a growing public company, including capital planning, forecasting, effective allocation, and optimization initiatives:What can you expect in this role?Actively participate in treasury activities as a public company, including:Raising capital (debt, preferred shares and hybrid securities, equity, etc.)Analyzing and optimizing cost of capitalShareholder distributions, including dividends and share buybacksM&A due diligence, funding and integrationIntercorporate transactionsRegularly prepare and present capital management analysis and recommendations to senior leaders and the board of directorsPerform risk-adjusted return on capital modeling and make recommendations to senior leaders to help improve financial resultsLead the preparation of financial analysis, including building and adapting complex models to address requests from senior leaders, investors, regulators or credit rating agenciesMonitor and propose actions to maintain regulatory capital ratios within our target range and ensure they remain in-line with our risk appetiteContribute to the quarterly and annual business plan and short-term forecasting processes by preparing the investment income, balance sheet, cash flow,
KPIs and capital forecastsSupport the ongoing preparation of capital-related investor relations materials including key messaging on capital management strategy and executionEngage in the annual credit rating process, including preparing management presentations and performing credit rating modelingWork closely with a variety of teams including Corporate Development, Corporate Finance, Legal, Investments, Actuarial, Risk and ReinsuranceWhat do you bring to this role?Completed university degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration or FinanceCPA or CFA designation (completed or nearing qualification) strongly preferred3-6 years of finance experience in any of the following areas: financial statement analysis, corporate development, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, public accounting, or similarDemonstrated proficiency with Excel and solid financial modeling skills (ideally practical experience)Ability to analyze and understand the implications of business activities on the financial statements; experience with IFRS and public company reporting is an assetExcellent attention to detail and proficient analytical skillsAbility to produce clear reports and presentations, including strong working knowledge of PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including C-level executivesAbility to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervisionSelf-starter who can identify opportunities for improvement and execute on themPrior experience in financial services industries in general, and insurance specifically,
