Lead strategic internal communications at Extendicare as the National Director. Engage with team members and families while fostering a meaningful connection to our mission and values through effective communication.
The ideal candidate will guide internal communications across all Extendicare divisions, including long-term care and ParaMed. You will coach a high-performing team and collaborate across departments to deliver impactful communications and support organizational change initiatives. This hybrid role is based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance internal communications strategy
• Oversee communications for employees and families
• Coach and manage a small communications team




• Optimize channels to support change initiatives
• Leverage data and AI tools for improved efficiency
Requirements:
• 7–10 years in corporate/internal communications
• Proven leadership in complex environments
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Robust judgment and critical thinking abilities
• Degree in communications or equivalent experience
