Administrative Assistant, Public Policy, Research and REA Contract (1 year- contract) – pay: $57,304.00 /year. United Way Greater Toronto is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant, Public Policy, Research and REA to join our team in a contract role. How you will make a difference Reporting to the Director, Research and Evaluation the Administrative Assistant, Public Policy, Research and REA will provide administrative support to the assigned team(s) of Public Policy, Research & Evaluation and REA and their programs, projects, and initiatives. Prepare meeting packages and background materials as required for the team to be ready for upcoming meetings, appointments, due dates, etc. Manage emails, correspondence and calls both internally and externally including responding to external requests and inquiries on the team’s behalf, forwarding to the appropriate person for action, screening calls and transcribing messages Generating reports, providing strong customer service as required for internal and external audiences, ensuring compliance with UWGT data-management and privacy practices Coordinate meetings, seminars and workshops, including scheduling, preparation of agenda and meetings materials, taking minutes, managing participants, catering and logistics Coordinate volunteers including outreach and scheduling as neededli> Maintainrelevant data in UWGT’s constituent relationship management or other databases Organize, maintain and update electronic,



paper filing and data systems Provide back up support for other teams as required Other duties and projects as assigned What you bring to the role 1‑3 years’ experience in an administrative role Excellent Microsoft Office skills including proficiency in Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint Proven organizational abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure Excellent ability to proofread, edit and format complex documents Excellent attention to detail and proven track record of accuracy Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and constituent service skills including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse set of constituents including internal and external stakeholders Ability to work independently Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information Track record of taking initiative and working towards continuous improvement Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the mission and work of United Way Greater Toronto, in particular in research, public policy and reconciliation and equity would be an asset Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti‑oppressive, and anti‑racist learning into action internally and externally Being part of our team Competitive total compensation package including: Salary Comprehensive advantages Defined benefit employer‑matching pension Life insurance Short‑term and long‑term disability benefits Employee and family assistance program (EFAP) Generous paid time‑off package including vacation, personal and cultural days, summer hours and hybrid work environment Commitment to the well‑being and work‑life balance for our employees Collaborative, high‑performing,
