Position Type: Casual - Occasionnel

Pay Range : $44.26 - $55.29 per hour

Hours : On demand – days and evenings as required (7am‑7pm & 10am‑10pm shifts)

Responsibilities

- Complete initial and ongoing client assessments including substance use history, suicide risk assessment and Best Possible Medication History (BPMH)
- Assess client to determine the most appropriate service
- Provide education and support to clients in individual and group formats
- Develop case management plans in collaboration with the client
- Communicate with interdisciplinary services as required
- Provide recovery‑based, client/family‑focused, trauma‑informed care
- Educate clients on harm reduction strategies
- Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with extensive experience in clinical area (may be considered)




- 1–3 years of nursing experience in hospital and/or community setting
- Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
- Solid knowledge of chemical dependency and substance use
- Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and individual and group communication skills
- Good previous work and attendance record
- Knowledge of the Provincial Mental Health Act
- Additional relevant education and experience considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience using the Telus EMR considered an asset
