We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our Siding Division. This is a site-based position where you will play a critical role in promoting a protected work environment, ensuring compliance with legislation, and strengthening our safety culture across projects.

Responsibilities

- Oversee health and safety for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Monitor daily site activities to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Lead formal site inspections, hazard assessments
- Conduct safety meetings and on-site orientations.
- Lead incident investigations, recommend corrective actions and prepare investigation reports for management.
- Maintain compliance with emergency response planning.
- Work closely with the site supervisors, project managers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with OHS legislation and company safety standards.




- Maintain accurate safety records, statistics and conduct the COR audits.
- Ensure company safety management systems are current and accurate..
- Promote and support a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and visible leadership.

Qualifications

- Must have valid Class 5 Drivers License , with clean driver abstract report
- Occupational Health & Safety certification, NCSO/NHSA designation, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta OH&S; regulations and construction safety practices.
- Previous on-site safety experience in new construction, industrial or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all site personnel.
- Ability to effectively enforce safety compliance standards to ensure full site compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and prioritize inspections for all sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and travel between multiple job sit
