Reporting directly to theDirector, Finance, theDirector, ProjectFinancewillhave a comprehensive knowledge of managing large-scale, complex construction projects, Aecon Nuclear administrative operations, mentor staff in the management of accounting practices, complete financial reporting,andoversee all Finance and Accounting processes on sitefor the Darlington New Nuclear Program (DNNP). This position will work closely with theDNNP Integrated Project DeliveryProject Directors and project teams,as well as the client, OPG. WhatYou’llDoHere: Provides financial reporting to meet customer, partner, and site teamrequirements Reviewsmonthly project forecasts,managesthemonth-endclosedeliverablesfor the Aecon-managedGeneral Partnerships,andfacilitatesmonth-endand ongoing projectreportingasrequired ParticipatesinQuarterly forecasts / Annual Business Plans / Budgets Reviews partner invoices for completion andaccuratecosting, overseesbillingstotheclient Helps resolve any disputed billings and takes steps necessary to ensurethetimelyrelease of payments fromtheclient Ensures job costs aremonitoredand forecasted Responsible for foreign exchange projectionandinitiatingany hedgesor Letters of Creditrequiredin conjunction withtheAecon Treasury team Participates in the gathering of financial information needed for claimsor change order requests Reviewscontracts and changes for commercial terms,
including insurance requirements andprovides adviceon how to mitigate risk in these areas SupportsGPProject management with strategic planning and business case analysis Delivers monthly project financial updates in leadership forums Responsible for reviewing cash flow forecasts withsite teams andGPpartner finance teams Identifyingefficiencies, enhancingprocessesand working files to providehigh-quality,timelyinformation Overseeing and mentoring Project Finance team and junior staff Managing relationships with various stakeholders including OPG, Project leadership, GP partners, internal leadership and internal/external auditors WhatYouBringto theTeam: Strong experience managing the Finance and Accounting aspects of large-scale projects, with a history of cost plus or target price contracts Advancedworking knowledge of anERP and Excel,with experience with SAP, Business Objects, PowerBI an asset Completion of a post‑secondary degree and Accounting Designation Minimum of 7 to 10 years of post-qualification related experience, ideally intheconstruction industry. Robust knowledge of IFRS,including technical accounting and reporting requirements. The right individual for this role will have strong leadership skills,be a highly motivated, team-oriented person with strong attention to detail who enjoys buildingrelationshipsand working with Operations teams towards a common goal. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) are extremely important in this role. Able to work on site Reason for vacancy: New Pay range:$150,000 -$170,000.
