We are seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager, Private Markets , to play a key role in managing and growing our global private markets portfolio, which spans private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to strategy, support decision‑making at the highest levels, and coach junior colleagues, all while helping advance TTCPP’s evolving investment platform. What will I do? As the Associate Portfolio Manager, Private Markets , you will: Actively involved in supporting the oversight of the Plan’s private markets portfolio (private equity, private credit, real estate & infrastructure). Evaluate a wide variety of investment vehicles, including fund investments, direct investments, secondaries and co‑investments.
Work with the Director, Private Investments, to present the analysis and recommendation of investment opportunities to the Investment Committee and CIO/CEO. Cultivate and manage relationships with GPs, fostering collaboration and alignment of interests in investment initiatives. Independently conduct all aspects of the investment sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and documentation process for primary fund investments, co‑investments and secondary fund investments. Work with internal and external stakeholders as part of the investment due diligence and execution process. Prepare and present periodic reports, portfolio reviews and other ad hoc requests to the investment team and Investment Committee. Prepare analyses of investment performance and risk supporting the assessment of investment strategies and GPs. Leading technology‑enabled improvements in data collection and reporting modernization by embedding AI tools, APIs and automation in workflows Stay abreast of capital markets conditions, proactively identify and research new strategic initiatives and tactical investment opportunities globally. Assist in advancing TTCPP's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives by integrating ESG considerations into the investment process. Perform other duties as assigned. What will help me be successful? Skills & Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent direct work experience. MBA or advanced degree is an asset. Completion of CFA or CAIA, or an equivalent related designation, is a strong asset. 5+ years of private markets investment experience (private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure). Strong understanding of performance measurement, reporting methodologies, and risk characteristics. Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including financial modelling. Proficiency with investment analytics tools (e.G., Bloomberg, Burgiss, iLevel, Cobalt) and data automation/API integration. Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Python, SQL, Tableau, and other relevant tools. Demonstrated ability to use technology to innovate and improve processes. Willingness to travel up to 20%.
