Job Summary

The Shipping and Inventory Control Officer is responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring the timely and productive movement of goods. This role helps optimize warehouse operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and monitor daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, and delivery notes.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues with carriers and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or excess inventory.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of products.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and sales departments to ensure inventory availability.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and quality standards.
- Generate inventory and shipping reports for management.




- Assist in developing procedures to improve inventory accuracy and shipping efficiency.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures when required.

Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in shipping and warehouse operations, or inventory control.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, cycle counting).
- Understanding of shipping documentation and logistics processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse and office environment.
- May require standing, lifting, and moving materials within established safety guidelines.
