Responsibilities
Primarily prepare capital events for the Private Assets Funds, including capital calls and distributions.
Execute waterfall calculations.
Prepare investor capital event notices and other investor reporting.
Execute financial control elements covering assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and equity.
Monitor compliance with client service level agreements and manage the timing and quality of client deliverables.
Review funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs, and other materials.
Independently complete cash, portfolio, and capital reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Provide support for monthly or quarterly net asset value preparation, including cash and portfolio reconciliations.
Assist with additional fund accounting tasks during peak periods.
Assist with new client onboarding and current fund launches to successful completion.
Participate in the fiscal year‑end audit process and provide information to auditors as required.
Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure client needs are met.
Implement efficiency initiatives in a timely manner.
Generate ad hoc reports as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
2–3 years of fund accounting experience in a Private Equity/Asset Fund, Private Equity/Asset Administrator, or financial institution with knowledge of financial products.
Experience reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
Attention to detail and proven ability to multi‑task.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experienced user of the FIS Investran PE accounting platform highly desirable.
Salary Range CAD $68,000 – $86,000. This position is for an existing vacancy.
