Carpenter (Concrete/Formwork) – DOW Chemical | Fort Saskatchewan, AB
We're looking for experienced 3rd Year Apprentice and Journeyperson Carpenters with strong concrete and formwork experience to join our team on a long-term industrial project at DOW Chemical in Fort Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and strip concrete formwork.
- Place, level, and finish concrete to project specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings and construction layouts.
- Install anchor bolts, embeds, and reinforcing materials.
- Perform layout, grading, and carpentry work for industrial concrete scopes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, trades, and client representatives to deliver quality work.
Qualifications
- 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter or Journeyperson Carpenter.
- Proven experience with concrete formwork and finishing.
- Industrial construction experience is considered a strong asset.
- Robust commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
Project Details
- Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB (DOW Chemical)
- Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off
- Hours: 8 regular + 2 overtime per day
- Accommodation: Local Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan area only (no camp or LOA)
- Start Date: July 28
- Duration: Long-term project with no defined end date
