We are looking to hire a proactive, detail‑oriented Associate to support our Investment Counselors in day‑to‑day operations, client service, and portfolio administration.

The role is based in Toronto or Vancouver and offers a competitive salary of $60,000–$70,000 plus discretionary bonus and equity ownership opportunities.

Responsibilities

Client Service

- Manage end-to-end client onboarding, documentation and account setup.
- Support Investment Counselors in preparing for meetings, proposals and reviews.
- Attend client meetings as required and maintain detailed records and meeting notes.
- Address client inquiries with urgency and professionalism.
- Produce recurring and ad‑hoc client reports.
- Contribute ideas to improve the overall client experience and drive service excellence.

Portfolio Administration

- Reconcile daily prices, positions and transactions across trading and custodial platforms.
- Support account activity including openings, deposits, withdrawals and asset transfers.
- Assist with monitoring and rebalancing client portfolios; ensure timely and accurate trade execution.
- Maintain security master data and review corporate actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues efficiently.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize workflows and enhance operational processes.

Compliance

- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure timely review and approval of account documentation.
- Ensure all activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records.
- Monitor potential risks and elevate issues as appropriate.

Qualifications

- University degree in Finance, Business, Economics,



Accounting or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally in investment or wealth management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA skills are an asset.
- Familiarity with wealth management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication, relationship management and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑starter with a collaborative spirit and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Fluency in French is an asset (but not mandatory).
