Overview Job Title: Solution ArchitectLocation: Toronto, ONDuration: 11+ MonthsClient: Public SectorPay Rate: $100/hr - $110/hr (CAD) Job Description: Ontario Health is seeking Senior Solutions Architects to support the Provincial Medical Imaging Repository initiative. The role focuses on defining and delivering enterprise-level architecture for large-scale medical imaging systems, including EI-VNA, Enterprise Imaging Viewer, and provincial repositories, ensuring interoperability, security, privacy, and alignment with Ontario healthcare standards. Responsibilities Lead enterprise and solution architecture for provincial medical imaging platforms Design scalable, secure integration and infrastructure architectures (VNA, PACS, EI-V, repositories) Support vendor selection, RFPs, and contract negotiations Define standards for interfaces, data flows, interoperability, and migration strategies Collaborate with clinical, technical, privacy, security, and external stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent working experience in Information Technology is required. 10+ years experience as a Solution Architect in medical imaging technology solutions involved in day-to-day technical and business work, including hands-on experience with provincially scaled Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) design and implementation. Demonstrated expertise in PACS, DICOM Standards and HL7 interoperability standards Knowledge of the broader Ontario health care sector IT systems to ensure product dependencies are identified and managed. Knowledge of Architectural disciplines such as Business, Application, Information, Infrastructure, Privacy and/or Security. Knowledge of service management, control,



and architecture frameworks such as ITIL, PMBOK, COBIT, Zachman, TOGAF, Rational, and/or Agile. Robust understanding of the Medical Imaging vendor landscape and how vendors operate within Integrated Community Health Services Centres (ICHSCs), including applicable ICHSC regulations. Knowledge of legislative boundaries and privacy regulations unique to Ontario and Canada. Knowledge of patient safety considerations. Experience working in the public/private sector, preferably in a health care setting.
