Private Family - Personal Family
POSITION PROFILE · CONFIDENTIAL · JULY 2026
TITLE: Full-Time Family / House Manager
DAYS / HOURS: Approx. 36–40 hours per week
• Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: Off (to be discussed – optional)
• No overnights
• Minor flexibility by quarter for the kids’ sports (may shift one day a quarter for driving support — not critical)
LOCATION: Canyon Heights, North Vancouver, BC
TOP PRIORITIES — WHAT WE’RE REALLY AFTER
• Someone who has done this before — mature, stable in their own life, and experienced running a private household. This is not a structured 9-to-5 — every day is different, and tasks get reprioritized around appointments and parent travel.
• Simple, reliable home cooking — nothing fancy. If they can roast a chicken, cook rice, and put together a salad, that’s exactly what we need. We eat simply.
• Resourceful and self-directed — able to simply get things done.
Our kids are teens and fairly independent, so this role is weighted toward the household — cooking, errands, driving, and keeping things running smoothly — more than hands-on childcare.
CHILDREN
- Daughter 13, Entering Gr. 8, Loves horses, music, and time with the dogs. Kind, well-behaved, a little shy at first.
- Son, 14, Entering Gr. 10, Sweet, easy-going boy. Loves soccer, basketball, and sports. Independent; parents handle schoolwork.
PARENT PROFILE
Mom is a busy executive working full time outside the home. Dad is CEO of his own business and works full-time from home.
HOUSEHOLD
Approx. 6,000 sq ft; 5-bedroom,
5-bathroom home in Canyon Heights. Weekly cleaners handle the deeper cleaning, laundry-folding, and bed-changing (hours can be added to this role if it makes more sense to consolidate). A part-time cook assists as needed.
Pets: two dogs — a 14-week-old miniature dachshund puppy (in training) and a 7-year-old comfort golden retriever — plus two cats.
VEHICLE PROVIDED: 2020 Acura MDX
