Transfer Administrator

Date: September 2026

Location: Dartmouth, NS (In office)

Shift Work: Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays

Employment Type: Full Time Permanent and Term positions available.

Responsibilities

- Take non-emergency calls and perform administration.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
- Coordinate patient transfers and liaise with hospitals.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of required paperwork, reports, and service inquiries.
- Process requests for non-urgent transport using proper telecommunications techniques.
- Advocate excellent customer service and handle inquiries professionally.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum Grade 12 and one year business or medical terminology college course, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications and ability to type 25 wpm accurately.
- Experience in a call centre or clinical/medical/hospital environment is an asset.
- Standard first aid/CPR certificate (asset).
- EMD certification (asset).




- Knowledge of medical terminology (asset).
- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and high performance standards.
- Technical efficiency with all Communication Centre equipment.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and listening skills.
- Preferably bilingual and able to work day shifts from 0600 to 1800 seven days a week.
