Overview

One of our clients is looking to onboard a Scrum Master. This is a remote role within Canada, with preference given to candidates based in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers.
- Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices to encourage teams to work with agility.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and other sessions as needed.
- Promote Agile practices while consistently reinforcing Scrum theory and values.
- Build relationships to foster engagement and encourage collaboration.
- Remove or escalate impediments to the Scrum team’s progress.
- Protect the team from internal and external distractions.
- Lead process management and improvement practices to enhance value delivery.
- Assist the Product Owner in ensuring scope, commitments, and targets are understood by the Scrum team.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed,



including scheduling meetings and facilitating communication between teams.

Required Experience

- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science and at least five years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience working in Agile Scrum.

Required Skills

- In-depth understanding of agile principles and scrum frameworks.
- Ability to analyze and resolve a wide range of impediments that are strategic, organizational, or technical in nature.
- Confident communicator, facilitator, and relationship-builder.
- Skilled collaborator able to reinforce agile principles with colleagues.
- Innovator with sound business judgment.
- Team player with demonstrated ability to help others succeed.
