Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our Life Sciences Competitive Intelligence team in Canada. This role is suited for fresh graduates or early-career professionals with a strong background in life sciences, medicine, clinical research, or healthcare analytics.

The analyst will support competitive landscape monitoring, clinical and regulatory tracking, pipeline analysis, conference intelligence, and insight generation for global pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Candidates should have strong research and analytical skills, attention to detail, and interest in using AI-enabled tools to improve research efficiency and quality.

Preferred Academic Background

Candidates should have an academic background in Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline.

Preferred profiles include:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields
- PhD candidates or graduates in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology,



or related areas
- MD graduates, medical students, or candidates with clinical/medical education exposure
- Candidates with research exposure in clinical development, drug development, translational science, evidence generation, or healthcare analytics

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor clinical, regulatory, scientific, commercial, and competitive developments across therapy areas
- Track pharmaceutical pipelines, clinical trials, regulatory milestones, approvals, conferences, and competitor activity
- Develop and maintain competitive landscapes, pipeline trackers, regulatory timelines, and monitoring repositories
- Collect, screen, tag, and prioritize information using defined criteria
- Prepare CI summaries, newsletters, alerts, reports, and PowerPoint slides with explicit story flow
- Support conference intelligence, including planners, abstract tracking, session prioritization, and post-conference summaries
- Refine search strategies, keyword lists, monitoring frameworks, and source lists
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, secondary research sources, and AI-enabled tools to support analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality outputs

Expected Outcomes

- Deliver accurate, high-quality CI outputs with strong adherence to QC standards.
- Meet project timelines and proactively escalate risks, delays, or data gaps
- Maintain up-to-date trackers, landscapes, and monitoring frameworks
- Convert large volumes of information into explicit, structured, and relevant insights
- Build therapy area knowledge and demonstrate increasing independence in research and prioritization




- Apply AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and output quality

Qualifications and Skills

- Master’s, PhD, MD, medical degree, or other advanced qualification in Life Sciences, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Clinical Research, Public Health, or a related field
- Fresher to 2 years of experience through internships, academic projects, research assistantships, consulting projects, healthcare analytics, or life sciences research
- Strong analytical, research, and synthesis skills
- Exposure to AI tools, data analytics, automation, or digital research workflows will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with clinical trial registries, regulatory databases, scientific publications, company websites, and investor presentations is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently

Work Model and Travel Requirements

- Role based in Canada (Remote)
- Approximately 20-30% travel to client sites and medical conferences may be required
- Candidates should be comfortable working in client-aligned time zones and collaborating with global stakeholders

The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with scientific and healthcare information. They should be able to learn quickly, structure information logically, and communicate insights clearly. Interest in life sciences, competitive intelligence, AI-enabled research, and pharmaceutical strategy will be highly valued.
