This position requires working on-site 5 days per week at 140 Chemin du Tremblay, Boucherville, QC J4B 6Z6.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for questions or concerns from colleagues within the Finance and Strategy groups.
- Support the rollout of various HR programs and initiatives (e.g., performance reviews, company culture initiatives, employee engagement surveys, and HRIS programs).
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to client groups on employee relations matters, including company policies and procedures, recruitment and selection strategies, performance management, job evaluations, terminations, training and development, and benefits administration.
- Collaborate daily with client groups to advise colleagues on HR-related questions and concerns.
- Provide guidance, direction, and advice to clients on employment-related matters, including, but not limited to, interpreting company policies and procedures, recruitment, training and development, and benefits administration.
- Resolve critical employee issues by researching HR-related questions and conducting investigations.
- Compile data to support compensation recommendations and work with the Compensation team to administer the annual incentive and merit review process.
- Ensure legal compliance by evaluating and implementing applicable federal and provincial HR requirements; conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization during hearings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standard methodologies that support HR strategies.
- Resolve critical payroll-related inquiries as needed.
- Assist the HR team with research, analysis, and implementation of HR programs, reports, and projects as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and a robust sense of belonging.
- Coordinate the grievance management process, ensure administrative follow-up, and maintain complete and compliant documentation.
- Participate in labour relations activities, including meetings with union representatives, case preparation, and documentation of follow-up actions.
- Prepare case files and write minutes for Labour Relations Committee (LRC) meetings and other HR committee meetings.
- Interpret and apply the collective bargaining agreement in collaboration with HR Business Partners and managers.
- Manage various HR administrative activities, including HR reporting, workforce tracking, disability case management, and HR system updates.
- Support internal communications, including collaborative platforms and the company's social media channels.
What You'll Bring
- Postsecondary education, preferably in Human Resources, with a CRIA/CRHA/HR certification completed or in progress.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; experience coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a strong asset.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information.
- Demonstrated proficiency with digital tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding customer service orientation with a strong sense of urgency.
