You’ll be working with hugely varied and diverse teams to deliver unique and unprecedented strategy and product delivery across industries. ThePrincipal EngineeratOliver Wyman Performance Transformationis crucial to defining, designing, and delivering solutions that achieve breakthrough impact for our clients – all enabled by a best‑in‑class DevSecOps model, Agile practices, architecture and tech stack.As aPrincipal Engineer, you will work alongside Oliver Wyman partners in Performance Transformation and other practice groups, engage directly with clients to understand their business challenges, and craft optimal solutions to be delivered by OW Performance Transformation specialists and consultants. You will own all technology and engineering responsibilities for a cross‑functional team covering technology, data science, customer experience and design.When you are a product builder, you will be hands‑on defining the architecture, tech stack, leading the engineering team while working with the product owner and designer. You will be instrumental in helping to validate build feasibility, operating costs, handle risk as well as key aspects of security, performance, resiliency, and scalability. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and has experience working with both technical and non‑technical colleagues in a cross‑functional environment. The ideal candidate also has experience pitching and explaining technical architecture and strategy to both technical and non‑technical audiences.Experience with scalable architecture whilst leading and inspiring software development teamsHands‑on development and delivery experience with a broad mix of languages and technologiesReal passion for solving customer friction through simple and effective softwareStrong people skills that contribute to an open and collaborative environmentExperience working with Agile and Lean approaches such as Continuous Integration and Delivery, TDD, and Rapid PrototypingExperience communicating technical vision to a variety of team membersAbility to embrace and reduce uncertainty through continual validated learningPractical experience with refactoring, design patterns, design‑driven development, system and application design, and application securityExperience with small teams that move fastAdditionally, we hope you bring experience with some of the following (not all required):How to work with structured and unstructured dataMultiple programming languages and frameworks with in‑depth skills in at least one of: JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Python, Go, .NETDesigning and deploying applications on cloud native infrastructure with providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google using patterns such as serverless or managed servicesContainer technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and microservicesInfrastructure as Code such as AWS CloudFormation and TerraformIdeally some familiarity with CX and HTML5/CSS3Search technologies such as Elastic / ELK or LucidWorksAuthentication/Authorization APIs such as OKTAWhat we offer youAn opportunity to play a key role in the design,
