Full Job Description DMC Recruitment is supporting an established building supply distributor with the recruitment of a Branch Sales Manager / Profit Centre Manager for its Windsor operation.
This is a sales-led leadership role within an entrepreneurial, profit-sharing business model. The branch is profitable, well-established in the local market, and supported by an experienced Operations Manager and established sales team.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the branch’s commercial direction, customer relationships, team development, and P&L; performance.

The Opportunity This role is designed for an experienced sales or branch leader who wants the responsibility and autonomy of running a local business, backed by the resources and support of an established organization.
You will lead sales growth and customer development while working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure strong service, execution, and branch performance.
The branch already has a solid foundation. The priority is to strengthen commercial performance, develop the existing team, deepen key customer relationships, and identify practical opportunities for continued growth.
Your rewards will be directly tied to the profitability of the branch through a branch-specific, uncapped profit-sharing program.

Leading sales growth through strong contractor and customer relationships
Coaching and developing an established branch team
Strengthening pricing, forecasting, and commercial planning

Key Responsibilities
Lead all sales and commercial activities for the branch
Take ownership of branch profitability, P&L; performance, planning, and forecasting
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, trades, and key accounts
Coach, mentor, and support the development of the branch team
Establish clear expectations and provide regular performance feedback
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new customer relationships
Support pricing, margin management, and commercial decision-making
Partner closely with the Operations Manager to ensure effective branch execution
Encourage collaboration, accountability, and shared success across the team
Monitor branch performance and implement practical improvements where required
Represent the business positively within the Windsor market
Contribute to annual planning and long-term branch strategy
Ideal Profile Mandatory
Proven experience leading a sales, branch, or commercial team
Strong sales capability with a track record of developing customer relationships
Commercial experience involving pricing, account growth, margins, or profitability
Ability to coach people, set expectations, and manage performance
Experience working with contractors, builders, trades, industrial customers, or comparable B2B accounts
Comfortable taking ownership of results and making informed commercial decisions
Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-management skills
Strongly Preferred
Experience within building materials, building supply, wholesale distribution, industrial supply, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or technical distribution
Previous responsibility for branch profitability, budgeting, forecasting, or P&L; performance
Experience leading an established team through growth or operational change
Knowledge of the Windsor or Southwestern Ontario contractor market
Experience working within a profit-sharing or entrepreneurial business model
Nice to Have
Existing relationships with contractors, builders, or trades in the Windsor market
Experience partnering with a dedicated operations leader
Knowledge of multiple building supply or trade product categories
Experience with succession planning and internal team development
Candidates do not need to come from one specific building product category. Relevant backgrounds may include building materials, contractor supply, industrial distribution, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction products, or another closely related sector.
The strongest candidates will combine sales leadership, people development, and commercial accountability. Direct experience in every area listed above is not required.
Compensation & Incentives
Base salary of $85,000-$95,000
Expected total compensation of $150,000+
Uncapped profit sharing based on the branch’s own performance
