Your New Role
- Lead building science and building enclosure projects from concept and assessment through construction completion and project close-out.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Perform building envelope assessments, thermal and hygrothermal analysis, and technical evaluations of existing structures.
- Develop building envelope details, rehabilitation strategies, repair designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site investigations, construction reviews, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, budgets, studies, and recommendations while coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with building science education considered an asset.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility to practice as a Professional Engineer.
- 7+ years of building science, building envelope, restoration, or rehabilitation consulting experience. (May consider slightly less with the right project experience)
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and coordinating clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong understanding of building enclosure systems, constructability, rehabilitation design, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and project management skills with a client-focused mindset.
