Logistics & Customs Analyst - Milton

Salary Range - $80,000 to $85,000

Essential Functions

LOGISTICS

- Monitor and track inbound freight shipments with designated carriers, proactively following up on any potential delays.
- Coordinate and arrange shipments in support of customer requirements and requests from internal Parker team members.
- Prepare, submit, and manage freight claims with carriers for shipments that are damaged, missing, or lost during transit.
- Schedule, coordinate, and communicate daily inbound shipment activity to warehouse personnel.
- Identify and escalate shipment issues or service concerns to the Team Leader as needed.
- Review carrier invoice discrepancies and provide recommendations to support timely issue resolution.
- Analyze transportation spend and evaluate opportunities for cost savings across transportation routes and carrier networks.
- Support and execute logistics and transportation-related initiatives, projects, and process improvement activities as assigned.

CUSTOMS:

- Generate, maintain, and respond to requests for CUSMA/USMCA Certification for all applicable products
- Complete monthly reports and invoicing as it pertains to the timely payment of Duties, Taxes, and Surtax Tariffs to the Canada Border Services Agency
- Act as a point of contact with the Canada Border Services Agency and US Customs Border Services Agency for inquires and audits

REQUIREMENTS





- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, customs compliance, and international trade operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customs Administration, Business, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Solid understanding of import/export regulations, customs compliance requirements, and cross-border shipping processes.
- Proven experience in Harmonized System (HS) tariff classification, including the maintenance of accurate supporting documentation and audit-ready records.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and managing CUSMA/USMCA product certifications for Canadian and U.S. import transactions.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve transportation and customs-related issues in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with the ability to monitor key performance indicators, analyze transportation spend, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance.
- Experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen, process mapping, workflow optimization, and the development of standard operating procedures.
