Role Overview We are seeking an experienced

Senior Systems Testing / Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

to support enterprise-level IT initiatives for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.

The successful candidate will provide expertise in quality assurance strategy, test planning, test execution, automation, performance testing, and end-to-end validation of complex business and technology solutions. The role requires extensive experience working within large-scale enterprise environments, supporting Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery models, and ensuring applications meet functional, technical, security, accessibility, and performance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing frameworks, test automation tools, API testing, performance testing, defect management, CI/CD integration, database validation, and large-scale system implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Strategy & Test Planning

Provide guidance on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and resource requirements.

Develop comprehensive QA approaches aligned with project objectives and delivery methodologies.

Plan, organize, and execute testing activities for large-scale enterprise applications.

Define testing scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and execution strategies.

Develop and maintain:

Test strategies

Test plans

Test cases

Test scripts

Test data

Test execution reports

Defect reports

Manual & Automated Testing Execution

Perform functional, non-functional, integration, regression, system, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Execute testing across Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-GUI environments.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Support automation testing initiatives using tools such as:

Selenium

Postman/API testing tools

Other automated testing frameworks

Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure system quality and reliability.

Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.

Enterprise Application Testing & Validation





Conduct end-to-end testing of complex enterprise systems.

Ensure complete coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

Perform system integration testing across multiple applications and platforms.

Support specialized testing activities, including:

Load testing

Stress testing

Performance testing

Security validation

Accessibility testing

Support user acceptance testing activities with business stakeholders.

Test Automation & Performance Testing

Develop and maintain automated testing solutions.

Create automation frameworks and reusable test components.

Execute API testing and validate system integrations.

Conduct performance testing using tools such as:

JMeter

LoadRunner

Similar performance testing platforms

Analyze performance results and recommend improvements.

Integrate testing processes with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Defect Management & Quality Reporting

Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

Utilize defect management tools such as:

JIRA

Azure DevOps

Similar tracking platforms

Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, and project teams to resolve issues.

Prepare testing status reports and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders.

Agile & Software Development Lifecycle Support

Participate throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and technical teams.

Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Apply testing practices within Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery environments.

Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout solution delivery.

Robust understanding of database technologies including:

SQL

Oracle

Experience validating data integrity and performing database testing.

Knowledge of cloud platforms including:

Microsoft Azure

AWS

Experience with CI/CD tools and integration practices, including:

Jenkins

Git

GitLab

Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and scripting approaches.

Experience supporting application integration testing.
