Pay Rate: $19.50

KEY – Compliance Requirements

Due to Ontario Long-Term Care regulations, candidates must have the following documents before starting shifts.
Candidates who already have complete compliance documentation will be prioritized for upcoming shifts.

Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) – issued within the last 6 months
2-Step TB Test – issued within the last 6 months

Influenza Vaccination Proof (current season)
PSW certification
PSW transcript
HSCPOA – if available

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one supervision, engagement, and companionship to residents through activities such as conversation, walking, reading, games,



television, or arts and crafts
Support residents’ emotional well-being and personhood by offering comfort, reassurance, and meaningful interaction
Observe residents closely and report any changes in behaviour, mood, or physical condition to nursing staff or PSWs
Assist residents with approved activities, mobility, and gentle exercises as directed by the care team
Use Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) techniques to support residents experiencing responsive behaviours
Maintain continuous supervision of the assigned resident to ensure safety and prevent incidents
Complete required observation documentation and update DOS binders at scheduled intervals
Assist with maintaining a clean and safe setting, including high-touch cleaning during outbreaks and supporting PPE organization
