V. Gibbons Contracting is looking to hire a 310T Mechanic.

We are a non-union heavy civil general contractor providing installation of primary services (sewer, watermain and road construction) for the public and private sectors in the Niagara Region.

Job Requirements
Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification
421A License is an asset
Experience working on diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.

Solid knowledge of:
Diesel engines
CUMMINS Insight Diagnostics
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Brake and air brake systems
Suspension and steering
Electrical and electronic systems
Ability to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance.
Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
Valid Class G license. AZ/DZ is an asset
Own basic mechanic tools.




Troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift heavy components.

Duties
Perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
Complete Daily Work Orders
Conduct Ministry safety inspections.
Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs.
Follow workplace health and safety regulations.
Able to work independently
Evenings and weekends if required
DRIVEON training can be provided if needed.
Pay will be based on work experience
Must be legal to work in Ontario

Pay: $36.00-$45.00 per hour
