Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers and related equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, axles, electrical wiring, suspension, and structural components
Perform routine maintenance such as inspections, lubrication, and part replacements to prevent breakdowns
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
Operate forklifts, needed for repairs or parts movement
Conduct welding and fabrication work to repair or modify trailer components
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for assembly and disassembly tasks




Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
Assist in the assembly of new trailers or equipment when required
Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and timelines effectively

Experience
Proven mechanic experience with a solid background in automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance
Dealership experience is preferred but not required
Hands-on experience working with both trucks and trailers
Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and mechanical assembly
Ability to perform repairs safely and efficiently
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and industrial machinery maintenance
Prior experience working with power tools and hand tools in a rapid-paced environment
