Duties
Issue Arrival notice to import customers and book appointment as accordingly.
Coordinate with Customers, Operations, Terminals to release Cargo without delay to prevent penalties or additional charges.
Communicate with Customers regarding diversion, split, exam, hold and/or other relevant information pertaining to a shipment.
Manages Idle Containers in coordination with customers, terminals, and other internal departments.
Submit Rail billing.
Identify parties that need to be involved in tracing shipments and issues and make appropriate contacts to work out a reasonable solution.
Address the root cause with necessary stakeholders to resolve and prevent future issues.
Updates booking schedules.
Skills
Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role in logistics industry in Canada
Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written in English.
Quick leaner and detail oriented
Familiarity with fundamentals of shipping including bills of lading.
Customer focus, adaptable and independent.
Logically determine the best approach to solving the immediate problem.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
