Become a Student Support Worker with Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health in the Waterloo Region. This role emphasizes nurturing youth relationships and facilitating their growth through program development.
As a Student Support Worker, you'll engage with students and families to foster trust and support their educational journeys. You will provide guidance through mentoring and advocacy while addressing the unique challenges youth face. Additionally, you'll also coordinate youth programming that promotes academic success and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships with students and families
Provide mentoring, coaching, and psychoeducation
Assist youth with post-secondary applications and planning
Design youth programming informed by feedback
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in a related field
Minimum 2 years experience with youth
Robust communication and relationship-building skills
Valid G driver's License and access to a vehicle
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Support youth in their development while fostering a sense of community with Camino.
