Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Chef/Baker to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods and dishes, with an emphasis on cake decorating and food presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, baking, and customer service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality product offerings. This position offers versatile schedule suitable for individuals with a love for culinary arts and the food industry.

Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, ensuring quality and consistency
Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs to meet customer specifications
Assist in food preparation for daily service, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Package baked goods for retail sale or catering orders while ensuring proper handling and presentation
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations




Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with selections and answering questions about products
Follow recipes accurately and contribute ideas for recent menu items or seasonal offerings
Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Requirements
Previous experience in baking, cake decorating, or restaurant food preparation is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Strong skills in baking, cooking, and food presentation
Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Attention to detail in food preparation and decoration
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if needed
Basic kitchen experience with familiarity in packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
