Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of traditional and up-to-date sushi preparation techniques, a commitment to quality and presentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience through precision, creativity, and consistency.

Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty items
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards
Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed




Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
Follow all health and safety regulations
Contribute to menu development and suggest new dishes or seasonal offerings

Requirements
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-pressure environment
Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Culinary certification or formal training is an asset
FoodSafe Level 1
