Responsibilities
Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to client preferences
Provide personalized consultations to recommend suitable styles and treatments
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
Engage with clients through friendly communication, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
Keep abreast of current trends and techniques in hair styling and grooming
Experience
Valid cosmetology or barber license required (asset)
Prior experience in a salon or barbershop setting preferred but not mandatory; training provided for entry-level candidates
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and explain services clearly
Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon setting
Retail sales experience is a plus but not essential; willingness to learn is important
Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
