Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, meat cutting, and food handling, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while maintaining strict food safety standards. The Meat Cutter/Butcher will play a vital role in delivering fresh, safe, and appealing meat products to our customers in a fast-paced retail or wholesale environment.

Responsibilities
Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards
Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality
Operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, saws, and grinders
Package meat products securely for sale or distribution, labeling accurately with product information
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations




Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable customer service when needed
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to management
Follow all food safety procedures and health regulations to ensure a safe working workplace

Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry, specifically in butchery or meat cutting, is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of perishable goods
Skills in food preparation, packaging, and presentation
Solid attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Kitchen experience or related food handling background is advantageous
Ability to operate relevant equipment safely and effectively
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as required

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
