We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sign Installer to join the Deftbay Inc. team on a casual, on-call basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of custom neon signs, LED signage, and related display fixtures across commercial and residential locations. This role requires a robust eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering clean, professional installations that reflect our brand's quality standards. Hours are not guaranteed and will be assigned based on project volume — you will only be contacted when installation work is available.

Responsibilities
Install custom neon signs, LED flex signs, acrylic displays, and wall-mounted signage at client locations
Safely mount and secure signage using appropriate fasteners, brackets, and hardware for various wall surfaces (drywall, brick, concrete, glass)
Read and follow installation diagrams, client instructions, and placement specifications
Test electrical connections and ensure signs power on correctly post-installation
Communicate professionally with clients on-site and represent Deftbay Inc. with care
Transport and handle signage carefully to avoid damage during delivery and install




Photograph completed installations for quality assurance and marketing purposes
Maintain a clean work area and ensure all installations meet safety standards
Report any installation issues, damages, or client concerns promptly

Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years experience in sign installation, general contracting, or a related trade
Comfortable working with hand tools, power drills, levels, and wall anchoring systems
Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical connections (neon/LED power supplies)
Ability to safely work at heights using ladders or scaffolding
Solid attention to detail and pride in clean, precise workmanship
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor environments
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Excellent time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Smartphone required for job communication, photo documentation, and navigation

Nice to Have
Previous experience installing neon, LED, or illuminated signage
WHMIS certification or Fall Protection training
Own basic tools (drill, level, anchors)

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
