Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optical/Administrative Assistant to join our close-knit, family-based optometry clinic. Our patients have trusted us for over a decade, and we pride ourselves on providing personalized, compassionate care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career while playing a key role in managing the front office of our fast-paced clinic and assisting with optical and eye care services in a friendly, professional manner.

Availability to work at least 3 days per week, including evenings and Saturdays, is required. Optical sales experience is a requirement.

Responsibilities
Perform Pre-testing of patients, assist with frame selection/fitting, educate patients on eyewear/contact lenses and neutralize glasses (minimum 1 year experience)
Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information and collecting payments, OHIP billings and validations, sending referrals to specialists and following up
Respond to patient calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and concerns as needed.




Manage patient flow and ensure a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, optical displays, and front office areas

Skills
Experience in a healthcare or optical administrative role
Solid organizational and computer skills, including EMR systems
Confident, professional communication with patients and team members
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinic setting
Reliable, team-oriented, and genuinely patient-focused
