We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the costs associated with our operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Your expertise will help optimize budgeting processes, improve cost control measures, and enhance overall financial efficiency. Duties
Prepare and analyze cost reports, including product costing, inventory valuation, and departmental expenses
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements and ledger entries
Assist with budgeting activities by monitoring expenses against forecasts and identifying variances
Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Support auditing processes by providing detailed documentation of cost-related transactions and account analyses.

Qualifications




Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential
Familiarity with corporate finance principles and financial services industry standards
Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable functions effectively
Ability to perform detailed account analysis and support budgeting efforts with precision
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
