Required Qualifications:
Training in addictions counselling.
Degree or certificate in one of the social services or health-related disciplines and at least 2 years of experience in the field, or the equivalent AIA certification or working towards same.
In good standing with the regulatory body that governs individual certification.

Understanding of Trauma informed approach
Understanding of Concurrent disorders
Understanding of medication assisted therapies
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-informed approaches and standards of practice
Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario Mental Health Act (OMHA), Informed Consent, and best practices in Mental Health and Addictions.
Demonstrated time management, prioritization, organization,



and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated competency with computer skills.
Excellent facilitation, coordination, assessment, and planning skills
Ability to work independently and within a team workplace.
Ability to deal with difficult and conflicting situations.
