Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and timely food preparation
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain high standards of food quality and safety
Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to uphold consistency and presentation standards
Enforce food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
Lead team members through interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated workforce
Collaborate with restaurant management on inventory control, ordering supplies,
and maintaining cleanliness standards
Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and positive dining experiences
Skills
Proven experience in food service settings with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving standards
Supervising or team management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team under pressure
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices
Effective communication skills for interviewing new team members and providing clear instructions during shifts
Previous restaurant management experience is highly valued; barista or hotel experience is a plus
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
