Responsibilities
Follow all rules, regulations and procedures as outlined in the Company’s Employee Handbook.
Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, refrigeration plants, air compressors, HVAC, and water treatment equipment.
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on plant utility equipment.
Respond promptly to equipment alarms, breakdowns, and emergency situations.
Record operating parameters, equipment readings, and maintenance activities in logbooks.
Conduct water chemistry testing and maintain boiler and cooling system treatment programs.
Support production by ensuring utilities are available to meet manufacturing demands.
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime.
Assist with maintenance shutdowns, equipment repairs, and equipment improvement projects.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and other safety procedures.
Maintain compliance with Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S;), food safety, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production operators, contractors, and supervisors.




Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and energy conservation.
Any other task as assigned.

Qualifications
Valid 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate from TSSA
Experience operating high-pressure boilers and industrial refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of ammonia and glycol refrigeration systems is an asset.
Understanding of steam distribution, condensate systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and compressors.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and building automation systems is an asset.
Experience in food or beverage manufacturing an asset.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Working Conditions
Manufacturing and industrial setting.
Exposure to heat, steam, noise, chemicals, and moving machinery.
Walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 25–50 kg (depending on employer), and working in confined spaces or at heights may be required.

Salary
Salary may vary in according to experience.

Pay: $23.00-$37.00 per hour
