About Us

Montessori for Children St Clair Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator – Special Needs to join our Montessori learning community. The successful candidate will provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment while supporting children's individual developmental needs through Montessori principles and early childhood education best practices.

Responsibilities
Assess children's development and prepare individualized learning plans.
Develop and implement child-care programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Observe children's progress and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
Guide children's behaviour using positive teaching strategies.
Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play, and hands-on learning.
Lead educational activities including storytelling, songs, crafts, and outdoor experiences.
Prepare and maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom environment.




Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings.
Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers when required.
Support children with diverse learning and developmental needs.
Apply Montessori teaching methods and maintain a prepared Montessori learning environment.

Qualifications
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Vulnerable Sector Check.
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an early childhood education setting.
Experience supporting children with special needs is an asset.
