Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and effective Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, engaging with customers and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position involves handling cash transactions, maintaining food safety standards, and managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks
Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cashiering duties
Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations
Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout shifts




Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred and training will be provided for motivated candidates
Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
Knowledge of POS systems, is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Valuable time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons
