We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who enjoys working with children and families to join our growing child development team in Richmond.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new counselling program within an established centre that already serves local families through educational and developmental programs.
We're looking for someone who values collaboration, enjoys supporting children's emotional growth, and wants the flexibility of an independent contractor role while benefiting from an established referral network and administrative support.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one counselling services for children and youth.
Support children with emotional regulation, anxiety, confidence, behavioural challenges, and social-emotional development.
Conduct parent consultations and provide practical strategies to support children outside of sessions.
Maintain professional and confidential client records and session documentation.
Collaborate with our Behaviour Specialist and educational team when appropriate to provide coordinated support.
Participate in the continued development of new child and family support services.
QualificationsRequired
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in positive standing with BCACC
Qualified liability insurance
Experience working with children and families
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team

Play-based counselling
Child-centred therapy
