Your Opportunity: Description: Reporting to the Patient Care Manager - Cardiac Sciences, the Unit Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Unit 22 Inpatient Cardiology and the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

The Unit Manager is accountable for delivering secure, patient- and family-centered, evidence-informed care while supporting excellence across acute cardiac services.

As a key member of the Cardiac Sciences leadership team, this role leads multidisciplinary staff in a dynamic, high-acuity environment, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include oversight of daily operations, staffing, scheduling, workforce planning, performance management, quality improvement, patient safety, and resource stewardship.

The Unit Manager works closely with physicians, allied health specialists, and operational partners to optimize patient flow, capacity management, telemetry utilization, and timely transitions of care across the cardiac program.

The role supports critical care readiness within the CCU, promotes professional development, and ensures care aligns with current evidence and best practice.

Using data to inform decision-making,



the Unit Manager leads initiatives that improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, operational performance, and financial sustainability.

The successful candidate builds strong partnerships across Cardiac Sciences and the organization while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and psychologically protected workplace that supports staff engagement and exceptional patient care.

Required Qualifications: Additional Required Qualifications: Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, and employee development.

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, patient experience, and staff wellbeing.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Demonstrated success leading change initiatives, implementation projects, and quality improvement activities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using data and performance metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
