Job Description Responsibilities of Day porter Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas Wipe down surfaces, doors, and high-touch areas Dust furniture, fixtures, and vents Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and mirrors Restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper Safety Responsibilities of Day porter Follow safety guidelines (e.g., SDS sheets) when using cleaning agents.
Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, masks) when handling hazardous materials.
Store chemicals securely and away from public or food areas.
Keep walkways, entryways, and floors transparent of spills, debris, and trip hazards.
