Lawrence Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Dentist 2 to provide skilled dental services to individuals with mental illness.

Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As a Dentist 2 you will perform a full range of professional dental tasks including: Conducting dental examinations.

Treating teeth, mouth, and gum infections with medication.

Performs restoration of straightforward and compound cavities.

Preparing written reports of dental services and ensuring fully documented records.

Planning and directing the work of professional and paraprofessional dental staff.

Ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications A valid license and registration to practice dentistry in Recent York State AND three years of full time post licensure dentistry experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity in a dental health care setting. OR Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
