Job Description

Senior Project Manager/Seller-Doer role responsible for selling and managing municipal water services projects. Lead sales and successful delivery of engineering projects for facility planning, drinking water and wastewater treatment, biosolids, pump stations, pipelines, and water and sewer systems. Utilize CDM Smith’s Global Delivery Excellence Framework and support from project control specialists, contract administrators, and quality management throughout project planning, delivery, and closeout.

Responsibilities

- Manage and serve as the lead Project Manager for water, wastewater, stormwater, conveyance, and general municipal engineering projects.
- Collaborate with sales teams to pre-position for upcoming projects and create proposals in response to RFPs.
- Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future project needs.
- Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance water services design capabilities.
- Plan and execute scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
- Complete Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of key deliverables.
- Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing by meeting with clients in the region.
- Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers in client organizations.
- Perform technical engineering project work.
- Provide excellent client service that generates repeat business.
- Support proposal development and participate in interviews for new projects.

Skills & Abilities

- Significant experience with project management methodology, including budget development, planning, control, and assurance.




- Proficient in project management software and finance and accounting concepts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to balance and prioritize work.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of related experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on specific duties and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

- P.Eng certification.
- Prior experience managing municipal water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance projects in British Columbia greater than $1 million.
- Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.

10% or less.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

USD $182,083.00

Pay Range Max

USD $336,856.00
