This role seeks an experienced mechanic with robust troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills. You will work a traditional 14 on 14 off schedule and handle repairs, equipment evaluations, and maintenance reporting. Your expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues will shape the safety and efficiency of our operations at the Suncor site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete repairs on CAT/Komatsu/Hitachi off-road equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Mobilize equipment for necessary repairs
• Mentor apprentices and evaluate the work of fellow mechanics
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years post-certification experience
• Valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician Certificate
• Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer application knowledge
• Experience in a Safety Sensitive work setting
