The Parks and Trails Division in Moose Lake seeks one NR Technician to handle seasonal resource management. You’ll execute activities for wetland, grassland, and forest resources, ensuring ecological health through direct actions. Key skills include invasive species control, equipment operation, and mentoring field crews in plant identification and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement resource management for ecological conservation
• Control invasive species using various methods
• Conduct prescribed burns and respond to wildfires
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and tools
• Perform inventories and surveys of plant and animal species
Requirements:
• Experience directing work for crews or volunteers
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
• Current chainsaw Faller 3 certification
• Knowledge of Minnesota flora and herbicide applications
• Valid Class D Driver’s license with explicit record
This role offers hands-on involvement in ecological protection and resource management.
